Ingredients:

  • Olive Oil
  • Beef Stew Chunks
  • Sea Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Carrot
  • Peas
  • Banana Potato (or Yukon Gold)
  • Strained Tomato
  • White Wine
  • Hot Chili Pepper (optional)
  1. Add ¾” inch Beef Chunks, Chopped Onion, and Chopped Garlic to a skilelt. Cook over medium heat until the beef is browned, and the onions and garlic are soft and fragrant. Season with a pinch of sea salt and black pepper to taste. Optionally, add crushed hot chili pepper at this point for an extra kick.
  2. Transfer from the pan to a pot for simmering the stew. Add a half bottle of strained tomato and about a third of a bottle of white wine. Make sure you don’t leave any strained tomato behind in the bottle!
  3. Add chopped carrots, potato, and strained green peas to the dish. Season with another pinch of salt and a crack of black pepper. Give the stew a mix before leaving it for a simmer.
  4. Bring the stew to a simmer on low heat for about 90 minutes.
  5. Serve on it’s own, or with polenta or bread! Watch the video above to see how Mariano serves this dish at his table. Enjoy!
